Figuring out how many feet a camera can zoom?
Alright guys,
I am taking a very nice pan tilt zoom camera and trying to figure out what my max view point is in feet. The camera specifications are on the following page.

If someone could help me with what the formula for figuring out zoom distance in feet is, based on the information provided that would be awesome

The angle of view on that unit according to that page is 2.6 - 51 degrees. According to this http://www.fredparker.com/vislize.htm that equates to a 50mm-800mm lens if it were an equitable 35mm camera (which conflicts with the specs on your page stating a 21x zoom but I'm just going by angle of view). The aperture being rather wide (lower numbers) means your depth of field isn't great and things outside of it's focus range won't show very great detail.
It's not in feet, but if you follow my link and look at 50mm and 800mm you'll get an idea. 50mm is considered a "normal" lens meaning that it gives a normal (not wide, not telephoto) field of view. 800mm is getting into the super telephoto range.
