I have a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado C1500 4DR. I am wanting to purchase a Boss BV9990 7-Inch In-Dash Motorized Widescreen Touchscreen TFT Monitor/DVD/MP3/CD Combo Receiver. I need to know if this will fit in my truck. Also, if it will fit to I need to purchase anything else.
Yes it will definatly fit in your truck. In the silverado the shifter gets in the way a little bit when the screen is comes out but it is no big deal. When you open the screen you just have to pull back on the shifter so the screen can clear the shifter, but other that that it will fit just fine.
My advice is not to by that indash though. Because the simple fact is it is a very cheap indash and will be nothing but trouble. Just in case you were wondering my answer comes from 13 years of owning my own car audio buisness and installing.
